Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate courses in the History of Kyrgyzstan
• Develop syllabi, lectures, and educational materials in line with AUCA’s liberal arts curriculum.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of the General Education history curriculum.
• Coordinate preparation and implementation of State Examination materials in history.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, university service, and collaborative initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in History of Kyrgyzstan.
• At least five years of successful teaching experience at the university level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and providing technical support for the the university’s video and photo equipment;
• Consulting and assisting students in working with equipment;

Описание должности

Преподаватель осуществляет преподавание спортивных и физкультурных курсов Программы Общеобразовательных Дисциплин в соответствии с академическими стандартами АУЦА, внутренними нормативными документами университета и требованиями государственных органов.

Основные обязанности

• Преподавание спортивных дисциплин в соответствии с утвержденным учебным планом и требованиями АУЦА
• Планирование и проведение практических занятий по физической культуре и спорту
• Обеспечение активного участия студентов и соблюдения требований охраны труда и техники безопасности во время занятий
• Соблюдение государственных и институциональных требований в сфере физического воспитания
• Участие в заседаниях Программы и в университетской деятельности
• Участие в организации спортивных мероприятий, соревнований и общеуниверситетских физкультурных мероприятий
• Контроль за ответственным использованием и надлежащим состоянием спортивного оборудования и инвентаря

Квалификационные требования

• Степень магистра или пятилетний университетский диплом (степень специалиста) по физической культуре, спортивным наукам или смежной специальности
• Опыт преподавания спортивных дисциплин или физического воспитания на уровне высшего или среднего образования
• Знание методов физической подготовки, стандартов безопасности и профилактики спортивных травм
• Владение английским языком приветствуется
• Развитые коммуникативные и межличностные навыки
• Способность эффективно работать со студентами из различных академических и культурных сред
• Готовность участвовать в университетской жизни и вносить вклад в развитие академического сообщества

Intensive Academic English Professor

Position: Intensive Academic English Professor

Status: Full-time

Program: General Education Department

 The General Education Department at the American University of Central Asia invites applications from candidates for 1 full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to the Intensive Academic English, First Year Seminar (FYSem) and Second Year Seminar Program.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The faculty position will involve teaching at least six undergraduate-level courses a year (three per semester) in Intensive Academic English and First Year Seminar. The Intensive Academic English is a proficiency-oriented course focused on improving and strengthening English language for high-level daily communication (written and verbal) and academic study. The course prepares and aids students for the FYSem and English Composition courses that are core General Education requirements for the joint AUCA̧–Bard College degree, focusing on developing and enhancing students’ basic competencies and skills in academic writing, reading, thinking, and speaking. Responsibilities also include advising, thesis supervision, and service activities at the departmental and university levels.

REQUIREMENTS

• MA or Ph.D. in English Language and Literature, Linguistics
• Experience of teaching in an English-medium university environment
• Excellent command of Academic English (all courses are taught in English)
• Evidence of experience and commitment to writing-based pedagogy
